I definitely know where you're coming from. I'm studying to be a teacher and work at a college and have days where I am treated like the best person on campus...and more days where I'm treated like an idiot subhumanoid. I think this definitely became worse after going blonde. I've found that I am dismissed and talked down to a lot more since...I know that they don't realize that's why, but being a cutesy young girl (and blonde) sometimes comes with being treated like a child. Would Madonna be the icon she is today if she did not constantly reinvent herself? Would we have a Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, or Gwen Stefani if it were not for Madonna’s influence on pop culture? Being a member of a community can have its pros and cons, depending on your perspective. In my opinion without these vital members, you can quickly find yourself in static mode. Sometimes being able to feed, collaborate, share, inspire, influence, teach, and guide one another is not only necessary, but of the essence.
