Weekly Lollipop: Bath & Beauty

Author: Amber Renée 11 December 2009

I’ve been seeing way too many talented ladies and decadent companies that make my eyes spin with delight. I absolutely had to devote a new feature to promote them and let you know what goodies to grab when you hit the luscious internet shopping mall of our dreams. Best of all? Your weekly lollipop is all the sugar and none of the tooth decay (as are all of these delicious eye candy treats specifically made for your body).

LUSH

Lush makes me want to take a bubble bath every hour on the hour and then get delicious massages with their solid massage bars. They have scents for everyone, especially candy lovers.

Darla Makeup

I adore Darla Makeup’s eye candy and tattoo paint. Your body is a canvas, decorate it, make it you.

Soap & Glory

Daily decadence in the shower! I’m a big coke fan and this scrub SMELLS LIKE COCA-COLA. I couldn’t be happier with every product I’ve ever used by Soap & Glory and, even better, when you get bored in the bathroom the instructions on the bottles will make you smile.

Bonnebell

I know I’m supposed to mature in my lip tastes but I still never have less than 20 different flavors of Lip Smackers stashed around my apartment. Chapstick that comes in the flavor of everything delicious.. Exactly what you need stashed in your pocket or purse!

Lime Crime

As soon as I saw these lip colors I knew my life would never be the same again, this is the most amazing lip color and brand I’ve seen. Candy for your lips or candy for your daily life? Both!

limecrime is a joke (just google “lime crime repackaging”-why in the world would anyone want to pay outrageous prices for repackaged makeup? paaaaaaaaaaasss

I think this is very valuable to Miseducated’s creative ladies:

Wow, people can be soo tough and cruel….especially behind their computer. Things get done in the blogosphere world that would more than half the time be never be done in person face to face. Looking a person in the eyes and spreading those lies isn’t so easy. But with just a click of a mouse people can become so tough and hateful. It is very cowardly and mean, and they don’t realize how much it cant hurt a person, its just not fair.

Oh of course! .. and it’s so easy to chicken out and not leave your name! I wish people believed in what they said enough to stand by it, name and all. ;) If not.. who cares?

I think all the Lime Crime drama should come to an end. People have voiced their opinions and now the internet bashing should stop. It’s obviously not stopping her from doing her thing.

    Limecrime is the best!
I have a Smackers Strawberry Perfume shaped like a giant chapstick that I wear all the time!

Actually Amber, there were some posts floating about the blogosphere RE: Xenia’s lipsticks, but she threatened legal action (which, IMHO, was totally unwarranted; these were not defamatory comments, merely bad reviews), and had them taken off. I won’t go into my thoughts on the rumours circulating currently, but I’m not pro-Lime Crime, and I’m willing to stand by that.

  • Jennifer said:

Oh, and apologies for the double post, but I just wanted to add: Darla Makeup and Soap & Glory seem like fantastic brands, thank you! Have you come across the etsy seller Lollibomb? Definitely +1 for candy-lovers, and a huge plus in my book is that her fare is all vegan.

Eeep! Thanks, Jennifer I’m totally checking them out.. as for censoring your customers, not cool. I was asked to remove the negative feedback here too but obviously I don’t agree with that… Yikes!

Every time someone comes up with a great innovative idea there will be people there that will try to bring you down. I commend her for speaking out and defending her company. She pushed the boundaries of what colors we will wear on our lips. I’ve never been interested in wearing lipstick until I saw her colors! I can’t wait ’til I can get some.

Mmm Bonnebell. Thanks for this, I’m checking out the Darla Makeup!
